Hungary swallowed the film

wonderful cast & high expectations of where it was headed just fizzled out.
Interesting that this was shown the same week the BBC sold it's famous TV Centre.

Could not help noticing the credits showing the film was made in Hungary with a mostly Hungarian team. Many films are shot in other countries but the mistake here is the team just didn't have a sense of Britishness.

The cost saving showed badly on the screen not in it's technical ability but it's sense of style & those hard to put your finger on nuances that we expect from the BBC dramas.

We have been forced to expect lavish locations & glamorous scenarios but I would rather see Tom & Tuppence doing a well written two hander in a boring setting.

i don't agree that it was not british...tuppence was terribly british to such an extent that i was embarrased, you might be talking technically..i am not.

1. The film has a European setting and its set on a train travelling through Central Europe.

2. Most BBC dramas are made in purpose built studios in Cardiff and have been for some time.

3. The film did not look cheap. If it was set in the old BBC studios, it would had definitely looked cheap.

Its that man again!!
