Idk if I'm the only one who's heard this but I've been seeing it pop up a lot now that Scorpion is rumored to be an upcoming DLC character for Injustice. My first thought is..Why? Scorp has no place in Injustice,though I wouldn't be surprised if he were added simply because Netherrealm studios made the game and Boon has a hard on for Scorp
shareI know just how you feel. I mean MK9 did have Kratos and Freddy, but Kratos was a console exclusive bonus character and wasn't taking a spot away from a missing MK character. And MK9 was a retelling of the first three games and every character from that timeline was already in. Along with extras such as Quan Chi and Kenshi whom are pretty much the two most popular post UMK3 characters and Skarlett a new character created because of rumors among the fanbase(like Ermac and Rain). So Freddy getting in wasn't that big deal as there were really no important MK characters missing.
And that was the first time Freddy had ever been playable in a video game. Other fighting games had guest characters as well such as Link, Spawn, Yoda, and Vader in the Soul Calibur games. But those characters don't have their own fighting game franchise. Scorpion has been playable in how many games of a similar mechanic now?
If he's in, I'll still download him as I don't really like having things locked, but that doesn't mean I think feel that his inclusion is a lazy and uninspired choice. Boon and other people at NRS have stated in interviews that they were trying to keep this seperate from MK and that it wouldn't feature MK characters. Having Scorpion contradicts all.

My feeling on the DLC so far is:
Lobo: A character I really dilike, and could have done without. I think he was a poor choice. He plays ok, though. Not terribly good or bad.
Batgirl: I liked her inclusion as a character. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's nice to see Barbara Gordon back in action. Unfortunatley she's a very cheap character. Her teleport grapple can be abused too easily.
Scorpion: Why? MK vs.DC pissed of MK fans because nobody wants a teen rated MK game. We get that same feeling with Scorpion not being able to do fatalities here in this game where he simply doesn't belong. He may be the new cheapest character in the game,was well. He's great to play as but awful to play agianst. Can you even block those teleporting behind you kicks?
I'm hoping for Martian Manhunter but Zod would be cool too. I do hope theres morecharacters, but it would be nice if season pass holders could get teh second round too since the first round isn't so spectacular.

You have to crouch block the teleport. However because it's so damn fast, it's hard to do so on reaction. And if you get caught blocking low often, you're likely to get Hellfired. Which is unblockable.
And they've confirmed there will be more DLC characters after Zod.

I stand corrected, it is a teleport punch. I'll try crouch blocking in the future. So we're sure Zod is the last of the orignal 4 season pass characters and we are also sure that there will be more? I guess that's good news.

They're adding a 5th DLC character to complete the first wave so General Zod isn't the last one yet for the DLC nope!
