I keep trying to see if she grows on me but I just find her very dude like. She looks like the dude from dazed and confused.

Well the thing is they need to work on her eyebrows and possibly cut her hair shorter. But she was trying last night, she had on more makeup than ever before.
Her character doesn't annoy me and actually seems to speak for the viewer at times. The actress playing her is doing a great job portraying an angry, hard to figure out teenager.
I checked out her photos again. She has nice bone structure and probably could model well. With make up and softer hair I bet she would be really pretty. Not sure why they choose to have her look boyish but I do think her delivery is funny.

Have you opened up a copy of Paris Vogue or the NY Times fashion issue? Half the models look like Amber. Thick bushy brows, high cheekbones, circles under the eyes.
shareI agree with the people about the eyebrows. I think she is attractive, if mildly gawky (who isn't as a teenager, so it fits the role), but if someone did her eyebrows she would be prettier. Now I cant stop looking at eyebrows, Eva Mendes' are looking pretty rugged in her latest Pantene commercial. lol

Yeah you aren't the only one. I love the ladies a lot but on the show she is behind a lot of the other females. But hey If they wanted an attractive girl they would have hired one.

shareIn her own way I agree, Clara has a great way of portraying an angst driven teenager, sometimes with only a stare or raising an eyebrow. She can deliver those chilling lines superbly and I have found Amber charming. Took a few episodes for this character to grow on me but like Larry, even he sees the value in Amber's negativity.
I've really come to like Amber and I think her appearance is somewhat like her personality. She started off as rather gruff in both appearance and behavior, but slowly glimmers of the inner Amber have come out. There are moments where she lets a very sweet personality show and moments where you see that she is/can be attractive with a change of makeup or even of expression. I love how the writers/directors are handling this, letting us see the who she will become.
shareI think so too. People say crap about her eyebrows but what's wrong with them? It's not like she has an unobrow or anything. I personaly think her hair, her eyebrows and her whole apperance in general is quite appealing
shareShe's a nice looking young lady. Didn't know she was David Mamet's daughter. That explains her unique look. Her half-sister also has a distinct look about her also.
I think they're both good looking.

See, i think she is doing an awesome job of playing a teenager trying to find
her place in a new school/town.
In the Halloween episode she was pretty hot as the sexy-nurse, but at the
same time she is transitioning from a child into adult and womanhood, and there
are PLENTY of women who aren't exactly attractive in this stage of their lives
(heck a lot of people PERIOD, whether male or female!)
I actually find that Amber and Larry are the two central figures to this show
and where it wants to go. Very, very odd and unexpected pairing, but there
it is!
