Once again bad reviews = good film
This was ridiculously underrated. Seeing a mature erotic thriller that didn’t crowbar in a ton of diversity and patronising woke messaging was like air to a drowning man.
This wasn’t as good as Gone Girl but kept me intrigued the whole time, much like a good Hitchcock film.
Affleck finally used his imposing frame to create a threatening psychotic villain, and the film was cunning enough to make you root for him.
Great twisted moments like the young daughter telling Affleck ‘I think you killed him Daddy’
De Armas was hot as hell and happy to get her tits out, great stuff.
It’s fantastic to finally have great director Adrian Lyne, the king of classy smutty thrillers, back in the game. I hope we’ll be seeing a lot more of him.
Once again, good reviews = stay away. Bad reviews = good film, watch it now!
