Does the plot not sound a little like Taken to anyone else. Its even written by Luc Besson who wrote Taken.

sharei like taken, but have to admit this had more soul/emotion than taken, i was expecting costner to fall down in this type of role: neeson-esque, but it worked as i felt he was a bit more flawed and not cyborg like, with a bit more heart with the family backstory etc
