Should have been Rated R
This movie -- although juvenile in its storytelling -- is inappropriate for young teens. It was clearly made to be "R," then edited down just enough to get a "PG-13" rating. That cynical approach is bothersome.
Consider the way the violence is portrayed: while lacking extreme gore and blood, it is presented cavalierly and viciously -- a rotten combination. The elevator decapitation scene is an example of this.
Consider the sequence from the tattoo gallery through the spider rave, culminating in the attempted gang-rape of a minor. What cynical cretin thought that was "PG-13" content?
Finally, the character of Vivi was out-of-place in a movie marketed to young teens. Appealing to look at, presented as desirable to be with, yet so morally vacuous that an Agency assassin had to ask her incredulously: "Is there NO line you won't cross?"
