Anyone else find the European stereotypes cringeworthy? From those cold German stock villains from central casting, the bumbling French policemen and the boyfriend, the Italian and his sauce, and then Mitat. What a crap film!
Nolan's movies are sacred film like the Bible is a sacred text.

Maybe I've been spoiled by the hyper-realism of things like the Bourne series, but this just seemed cartoonish and contrived to me.
And yes, of course, the French police would rather watch soccer than investigate crime, in "socialist" France people can just claim your apartment, anyone East of Maginot Line is a arch-villain, and all Italians are cooks and are mama's boys.
