In his earlier movies, I used to think he was not that good an actor. He was terrible in the Untouchables. Though I have not seen a lot of his movies, I just never thought he was any good, but he has really shined in the past five or so years.

shareI actually said the same thing today about Costner, TruthPredator. I used to swerve Costners films like the plague, but I really liked him in this. I just wish he would do more of this genre and less sports related movies. Even though this movie wasn't a blockbuster, and it seemed to try too hard to be like Taken, albeit with comedy, it wasn't because of Costner. I think thriller or thriller/comedy is a great fit for him. I hope he chooses more of these type roles in the future so when he does do these films he won't be considered the poor mans Liam Neeson, as some people on the message boards have suggested.
