Conflict of Interest (Spoiler)

The Detective (Langford) assigned to Holly's case was married (divorced) to her current boss the Captain of the police force. Would this not be a major conflict of interest working for him? Pretty weird in the real world.

not really...

a bigger issue would have been them being a together in the past... ie him being Husband AND Boss at the same time.

If the divorce was amicable enough that they could personally stand working with/for one another there would be no rule against it for the Police force
