Hate Arnold
Get rid please
shareGod no. I completely adore him!
shareI initially liked him in S2, but they did a 180 with his personality in S3 to make him more manageable, I guess. Plus the whole open relationship thing is gonna bite Josh in the rear, I bet. Especially considering next week's episode.
shareI agree that they have tried to make Arnold's character more "manageable". Whether or not the open relationship bites Josh in the butt depends on whether or not you think he is better off with Arnold, haha. Sorry for plastering the board with my Arnold hate - I really don't HATE the character - but I've never thought that he and Josh made a good couple.
shareThe Christmas episode made me really dislike him. I get that he was trying to fit in with the group dynamic, the way they jokingly put one another down, but anyone could see the tension between Ella and Tom and Claire's relationship. His "Maybe a little bit" line about Tom being in love with Claire made the whole day go down. I don't blame Tom for getting back at him with joking about the gravy.
The Ben thing also annoys me, considering he proposed the whole open relationship to Josh.
Hopefully they do break up.

The biggest thing that is annoying me right now is definitely his take on the open relationship - can you say hypocritical? Especially because he was so harsh in initially telling Josh that if he (Arnold)found "someone better" then that would just be too bad for Josh. The first time the shoe is somewhat on the other foot, Arnold freaks out. I know that he has a "big, complicated brain" but that doesn't excuse the hypocrisy. You could say that a lot of these things, such as his awkwardness at the lunch, are not his fault because of his issues, but that doesn't mean that Josh (or the viewers) have to like it!
shareExactly. I empathise with Arnold and I know he, like all the characters, has his own issues he's trying to work through. But the past couple of episodes he's just rubbed me the wrong way.
Josh and Tom have had some pretty bad relationships. I liked Ella but I'm beginning to see she has a few of Nieve's qualities. Her "I thought you'd agree with your girlfriend" line when they were discussing Mae and Allen's controlled crying parenting was something Nieve said in the first season. Plus when she was breaking Tom's stuff for not having sex with her in the chlamydia episode was rapey.

I hope you're planning on calling your play "Gload."
