He got around much better before he had the surgery than a lot of them do even afterwards.

I haven't watched too many of the episodes with the men, but I noticed that nearly all of the morbidly obese women had a boyfriend or husband. People often wonder and question that. I don't know if L.B. ever had a girlfriend, but most of the large women are married by the time they're 18. It's not what you would expect because you'd think men would run to get away from a big woman, not run to her, and not all of them seem to be chubby-chasers.

He was a "normal" super fat guy. The only thing that made him sort of an "oddity" (oddities seem to be what this show looks for) was his disability.

His segment was reran today on TLC. They had a footnote at the end that he died. I wish they would've had a small update with his family about what happened to him that he took his own life.
