Chuck

Who does Chuck's wife, Nessa (sp), think she is. She kept threatening to leave him if he doesn't lose weight. Has she looked in the mirror? She's fat too. She thinks that just because she has a halfway decent looking face and blonde hair that she's too good for him. If she keeps eating like she did on the show she'll be visiting Dr. Now herself. I hope Chuck dumps her. He's too good for her.

She was the only one doing anything, she was going to school, working AND keeping the house and raising their kid while he was sitting around feeling sorry for himself and eating all day. Neither of them was good for the other, period.

reply

That's no reason for her to humiliate the man every single day? I think her anger was misplaced and his weight was not the root of her anger.

reply

I'm sorry but that's not right. Chuck was a selfish POS and made his wife do EVERYTHING. He couldn't even be bothered to go get her pain medication. To show you what kind of a person he is, when Nissa left he signed over all rights to the child over to her so that he wouldn't have to pay child support.

It's amazing those two were able to adopt a child. They are both super morbidly obese and they have a crappy relationship. Of course Milla adopted six kids and is bedridden and 700 pounds and her husband is near death.

Must be some parts of America with so many unwanted children authorities will place them with anyone.

I have a friend in Kentucky who tried to report a child neglect situation to CPS (whom are supposed to act every time even if the report isn't accurate) and she was told they wouldn't act on it unless she had the guy's social security number (how would anyone know that?) even though he had his kids taken away 5 times over the years.

Authorities simply don't care and that's why we have people like Milla making a living off of it.

I talked with somebody last night who said she's one of Milla's neighbors, and said that she's been doing well. I guess if they update her story next year we'll find out.

Um, did you actually WATCH the episode? He was such a lazy @ss POS! After she had the surgery, and the doctor told her she had to take it easy, and he'd have to help out more, he refused, and she STILL had to do everything, thereby putting her health in jeopardy!

Yet, after HIS surgery, he expected her to help him at every turn, and WHINED about how selfish SHE was being when she told him he needed to start doing things for himself.

He was so narcissistic that it did take her leaving him to make him temporarily wake up. I haven't seen any follow up episodes with him, but at the end of the first episode, he was FINALLY making some progress, and she did return to him (though I thought it was a mistake for her to do so).

So if she has finally divorced him, I'm glad. He was psychologically toxic for her, and their child!

He got married again to another big woman and hasn't had any contact with the kid since Nissa left him. Rumor is that he signed over full custody over the kid to her so that he doesn't have to pay child support.

I agree this guy was a HUGE POS and when I read the OP's post I was kind of blown away that someone would think he is a sympathetic character.

Chuck was a bully. He was a selfish and lazy man, and if he didn't get his way he acted out like a child. Losing weight is hard, and surely going through the surgery is difficult, but he constantly took his anger out on Nissa. She seemed to be incredibly kind and loving, and as Disinter said, she worked, went to school, took care of their house, Chuck and their son. Even after Chuck began losing weight and was more mobile, he didn't really pitch in much to help.

But the absolute worst was when Nissa finally couldn't take it, and served him with papers. he sat there crying and whining, like he always did when he finally pushed her too far. Was he upset that he was losing his son and wife? No. He cried that he would no longer have Nissa's health insurance, and had no one to take care of him. He was pathetic.

My feet have wings, barf bag.

I hated Chuck. Who whines about driving to get his spouse's pain meds? He was a creep.
