Whether it is or is not, the basic info is there. People over eat to give themselves pleasure as controlled by the neurotransmitter dopamine.

Dopamine is great and terrible at the same time.

It's a dopamine spike that those "call within the next ten minutes and get a second one absolutely free" infomercials are counting on. It's why they say to wait a half hour before ordering something you've seen on TV. By that time the dopamine levels are back to normal and you'll be thinking clearly.



Time wounds all heels.

I asked my neurologist, in view of the obesity "epidemic"; it lies upon some people's dopamine levels. Neurotransmitters do fluctuate depending on the patient.
