How does someone live in a hospital for 4 months? Who pays for that??
Can't imagine the stench coming from those massive rolls!
I was wondering the same thing! I've known people who ended up in thousands of dollars in debt from short hospital stays, so I can't even imagine what the cost of that must have been (not that Marla had to pay any of it, I'm sure )

Twenty years ago my father was in the hospital for 3 months and his bill was almost that high. He managed to get some sort of financial aid to pay for some of it, then he paid for the rest.
To this day there is a lady, by marriage, in my family who has never worked and when she needs medical care or surgery, she simply goes to the public hospital and says she doesn't work and has no money, sticking taxpayers with her bill. I suspect that's what these people do as well when they were admitted to the hospital due to their weight causing them problems. My guess is most probably have Medicaid. share
