How is what Kirsten doing to Neiko not child abuse?

Why isn't he in school? He's going to be 500 pounds in a few years! What a strange dynamic they have!

reply

Totally agree.

Even he said that they act more like siblings than mother/son which is understandable since she really didn't raise him and has the emotional maturity of about a 15 year old girl.

Now go home and get your *beep* shine box.

Agree!!

This show has crossed the line. I don't find watching a boy being treated that way something I want to be witness to.

I agree with everything said here. What a sad episode. I don't know how you can grow up well adjusted around that dysfunction. Neiko did sound like an insightful kid when he was talking to the cameras, so I hope he makes it without turning into his "mother". Poor kid.

Kirsten is all about ME ME ME....if I were her kid, I would run too. She has done NOTHING to deserve to be Mother. Even animals can give birth.

Interesting that when the mom abandoned Nico, he lived with his great grandparents not with the grandparents in this episode. Wonder why that was? Did the grandparents have drug/alcohol/crime situation that made them unfit?

reply

The kids lived with the grandparents, not great grandparents.

It was commented on the show tonight that he lived with his great grandparents first, then he went to live with his grandparents.

Must be mentioned later in the show . I rewatched the beginning earlier and great grandparents weren't mentioned, although it was said they'd lived with grandparents past 10 years.

On the show last night they showed comments every few minutes and it gave more information about them. It wasn't talked about, it was only in the caption.

reply

Okay thanks. I must have missed it. When information is given in captions, I think it's easier to miss. Thanks.
