Newbie to the show and binged watched.....Is Penny

the worst that this show has seen? Granted I haven't seen all episodes and there have been several who were bad (Lupe and that one other lady who didn't even want to stand up - I forgot her name) but Penny has not only a bad attitude but she made excuses and even lied to the doctor's face several times as if there wasn't a camera there to record her eating cheeseburgers.

Then when caught in a lie she would cry and blame everything and everyone - even the scales that were used to weigh her lol.

I thought it was so telling that her attitude changed as soon as she got the surgery. It seemed very calculating that she was crying saying she wanted help and seemed sincere then after she got the surgery she became this ungrateful monster - who didn't care about anyone but herself.

I just know that I wanted to jump through my screen and throw her out of the hospital myself.

Am I right was Penny the worst and if not who in your opinion tops this lady?

Ironically I binged watched Penny, Pauline, and Sean today in that order. Pauline was horrible too as was Sean although I will cut Sean a little slack since he was only 26 and I don't think he understood the seriousness of his condition (you're not fully cooked at 26 and think you're invincible)

Penny is definitely the worst that I've seen but Kirsten (tonight's show) is a close second! Their behavior is sickening! Enjoy binge watching! There are some awesome people who have great attitudes that will make you smile!

Penny was a huge waste of time ! She still not walking , lazy , totally in denial about her overeating , ignorant a-hole , Kirsten at least got her s*** together and improved a lot both about her weight loss and in relationships with her family

penny has been the reigning queen of mean on here for years, but that new one last night kirsten is running a close second omg the way she treated her mother and son and dad, inhaling food like there is no tomorrow and doesnt need a therapist, there's nothing wrong with her, she just weighs 612 lbs.

I'm going to say the worst overall is Penny because she never "got it" even temporarily. Kirsten at least got it, but who knows if it will last? At least she showed some potential. Penny has shown none. Her update sbow was also completely discouraging... to the point where her husband and young son should just move out.

JMO, but I think Kirsten's change in attitude is due to pain medication and she feels good. Her change in attitude happened too quickly. I have people in my family who act like her when they're high on opiates.

I thought the same thing. She's an addict all around. She's peachy when she has her fix, when she doesn't, typical nasty waste of life addict using all around her.

Totally agree Antwoin and Karma. Kirsten is a level of awful I can barely put into words. As the mother of a son Neiko's age, it broke my heart to see the way she treated him, and the way Kirsten's mother did too.

While Penny was a total fraud and will likely never lose weight, she at the very least was loving towards her son. Kirsten was an absolute monster to her children. And that's when she was actually in their lives. Kirsten ditched them for awhile so she could Party, as she explained it.

We've seen a lot of patients on this show essentially turn their children into servants...but Kirsten, IMO, is the most vile excuse for a parent I've seen thus far.

This is a horrible thing to write, but when she was saying that she wishes she would never wake up, I was thinking, I hope you never wake up either, if just for the sake of your son.

I know what you mean. This may be even worse, but when she said that, I felt zero sympathy. I felt it was yet another of her overly dramatic, attention seeking me moments. At no point in the episode did she give a damn about what she put her family through. That statement she made was her attempt at making herself the sympathetic victim.

I actually think her attitude was terrible on pain meds, at least part of the time... like when she was recovering from surgery in the hospital and belly-aching like crazy. But it is very likely she mellowed out thanks to the pain meds. Just bouncing from one numbing thing to another. (Pauline seemed to do that too.)

I also feel like the show edits in the end to make them look more turned around as long as they've continued to lose weight; a way to "have an ending," but I don't buy Kirsten actually being better beyond some continued weight loss, and even that may be temporary.

So it's funny I started this by picking Penny as worst still. Kirsten is the worst mother ever on this show, hands down. She nay be the worst overall, but for now, I'll still give it to Penny because Kirsten is newer to this, and we're a ways away from seeing her year two. I know I loathe Kirsten even more than Penny though for being an even worse mother.

To me, Joe is the worst. He's nothing but a spoiled bully! He thinks he's some big shot celebrity now living a fancy lifestyle with his new wife. They are probably in debt up to his flabby arms!

Brats3170- flabby arms, lol. good one! He annoys me so much because he's so full of himself, we get it he lost a ton of weight but his 15 minutes of "fame" are over. But he's probably hoping they do a second "Where Are They Now" episode on him and his beloved

Dottie was another one that I can't stand. I had sympathy towards her because of her sick son, but the entire episode she was acting like she's losing weight for Dr. Now, not because for herself. I felt sorry for her husband because it appeared that Dottie's weight was concerning him more than her.
And whole excuses "my life growing up was so hard because my sister was a beauty queen and I wasn't" and later on "I gained weight by eating two eggs for breakfast and a salad and green beans for dinner" ...

Yeah I think I watched the Dottie episode (I watched so many over the past week it's hard to keep their names straight) but if that was the one with the where she had two sons - one of which - the older one had cerebral palsy then I did see that one.

There is never an excuse for bad eating habits. Period.

When it comes to exercise I did cut her slack - since her son required around the clock care and she was his primary care-giver. Does it excuse her eating habits - definitely not - but I could understand exercise not being her number one priority especially the times when her son was hospitalized.

Yep, that is Dottie. Considering her weight in the beginning, she didn't need to exercise - only to stay on the diet and she would've lost a lot of weight.

Lupe is another one full of excuses.

Lupe !!!

There are a few episodes, like Penny's, that I saved on my DVR - and Lupe's is one of them. Her episode was a ton (no pun) of pure entertainment.

There's just so much going on - from the hiding tacos in her purse - to the firemen having to rescue her from the toilet. Just craziness !

I originally felt sorry for Lupe, but when I re-watched the episode recently I actually saw how ... "entitled" she felt. Especially how she was acting towards her husband. I realize that he was talking to other women, but he was doing that because his wife only cared about staying in bed and eating all day long. I don't blame him at all. That whole speech "just because I'm fat doesn't mean I deserve any less" ... Um, yes it does Lupe. What have you done for your husband to deserve ANYTHING? For the lack of better words - Lupe is a worthless POS.
