Kirsten's mother

That woman has to be a saint to put up with her daughter, and raise her two grandchildren, and to never, as far as we saw anything, lose her cool with any of them.

reply

She did criticize Nico for not helping Kirsten. It was shortly before Nico went back home; it was Kirsten and her mother criticizing him at the same time.

Which is not the same thing.

It was more than criticizing. It was devaluing Neiko in favor of his manipulative egg donor. He shouldn't have been dragged to Texas to be her servant and whipping post. He clearly reacted to that, and his grandmother--the only mother he has ever really known--agrees with Kirsten throwing Neiko under the bus and chimes in herself. Her putting those children behind Kirsten is why I can never call her a saint.

Seems like a typical enabler parent emeshed in major disfunction to me. Kirsten's mother's priority should have been to Kirsten's two children she abandoned, not to Kirsten when she lost her drug-dealing residence. So Kirsten could bunk with her daughter and 14-year-old son?! Great parenting, grandma-mom!

I want to drive to Longview and bitch slap Kirsten's mom for putting her late-30s daughter over the young grandchildren she claimed she'd look after. It's infuriating.

Not exactly actions of a saint. I want to drive to Longview and bitch slap Kirsten's mom

I wonder if people actually do that. I wasn't aware of it until I was on a Facebook page about 600 lb Life and the administrator said she would ban all those that would post things that they wanted to physically assault one of the patients. Don't know if they would actually go through with it, but it seems like a risk to appear on that show. What gets me is some of them live in small towns and then post on social media their place of employment where they could be easily found. It's not like they're living in New York City and saying they work at a Walmart in a city of a million people.

Oh wow, I didn't know that, haha. I rarely check out FB. I can see it being a concern for crazies. I'm the type to not even approach someone who's been on tv, unless the vibe as cool. As it is, I've only done it once, and that was when I was in high school and more bold.

I actually am surprised these shows will say exactly where someone lives. You're right, it's not like many of these people live in a large city. Longview, WA is about 30 minutes from where I grew up. It's a pretty small place. It's right off of the freeway too. Towns like that make it easy enough for a nutjob to try to track down the participants.

She had bypass surgery.

reply

If she's an "after" bypass surgery, I would pass.

Her mom is a classic enabler and should be ashamed of herself for what she did to her daughter and how she let her daughter treat her grandkids. Some tough love could have gone a long way years ago.
