Do you think the subjects write their own narration (doubtful), the show writes if for them, or it's a combination of the two?

I wonder if they give them a questionnaire, then use the answers to pen the narration.

It always sounds as if they're saying the same stuff, so I think it's scripted.

I doubt that many of these people are capable of writing anything more than their names.
