Cynthia having kids

So Cynthia adopted her cousin's three kids because of abuse in the home. That's a lot to take on in the first place for a single (and somewhat disabled) woman, but whatever.

Then she goes on to say "I decided not to pursue love, but I still wanted kids of my own, so I dated a couple of guys and got pregnant." (Or words to that effect)

Excuse me, what?! So you just went out and found a couple of sperm donors and slept with them for the sole purpose of getting pregnant when you already have three young kids to raise? The selfishness and stupidity here is beyond what I can even put into words. It's sickening.

reply

Sickening is right. What I can't figure out is how she was able to get pregnant when she was so huge. Selfish and stupid, for sure.

The lady from last season, Bettie Jo, got pregnant and had a baby. People were wondering the same thing then. Another mystery, I guess, like where they get all their money for food.

Or who is paying for the late model cars. My newest vehicle is 10 years old...

I do remember Bettie Jo, and you're right, she was about that size.

reply

How much did Bettie Jo weigh when she got pregnant? I thought losing weight enabled her fertility. I haven't seen Bettie Jo's episode in quite a while and cannot remember.

reply

Probably have food stamps, but then she works as a teacher I didn't think teachers get food stamps. Maybe she have child support.

reply

Sounds mean but I wondered the same thing. She is huge. Black guys tend to like bigger women but come on...she is enormous and unhealthy. Surprised she was able to conceive both times.

Turkey Baster

I guess I don't see the problem. She saved three children from abuse, which is very unselfish.

Does that mean she can't fulfill the dream of having her own children?

While I didn't agree with her relying on Ukiah to help with the cooking and keeping her clean, she still provided financially for all five kids by working every day. The house was clean, the kids were all clothed and had a roof over their heads. And most importantly, they all seemed happy and seem to love each other very much.

I agree that the kids all seemed happy and well behaved. I just wonder how she was able to support them and her eating habits? She's a special ed teacher, so she can't make very much. Eating a bag of donuts and two pizzas before starting a class can get pretty pricey.

reply

I forgot how much teachers are paid, maybe she makes more with 5 kids, she could get child support. All that money she spend eating out has to add up, she must spend about 300 a week on fast food.

reply

I highly doubt that she worked full time, considering how long it took her just to get to the classroom or how often she ate ...

I'm with you, jbllshonea. I don't see the problem.

Taking in three viciously abused children is such a selfless act. The traumas they suffered didn't end when the bones healed.

Very often, caregivers put the needs of others before their own. When the opportunity came for her to fulfill one of her own wishes, I'm glad that she took it. All of the children appeared very well behaved, respectful, helpful - to her and to each other - and demonstrably caring.

I spent my childbearing years taking care of my mother who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. During that time, a number of nieces and nephews needed a place to stay, and I welcomed them. I gave up my career and drained my savings. My decision and I stand by the choices I made.

Had I a chance to do it all over again, I wouldn't change anything except for giving myself permission to be selfish and having a child of my own.

I understand Cynthia's decision and wish that I had been as courageous.

Anatomically, it is hard to understand how intercourse would work in cases like her...I guess the guy would have to be hung like a horse to get in there LOL (excuse my French).

While it is maybe understandable for her to want her own kids, it is not a very responsible thing to do when you're not sure if you can properly provide for them all...but I guess what's done is done and I have to agree with the other comments, the kids all seemed very nice and well behaved - more so than most kids these days! Hopefully, she will come to her senses and train them how to make healthy food, rather than deep-frying pork chops (or whatever that was). And START USING PROPER TABLEWARE!!!!!
