Season 6

Will be about it inevitably crashing down around them.

I think they will change their minds, and want to stay until the kids are grown, so that they can leave and let the kids stay if they choose so to not ruin their lives. But, given what Claudia said about how when agents consider going home, it's time, I can see it maybe going where even if Elizabeth and Philip change their minds, the Center might decide to make them go home anyway, Paige and Henry too. Now disillusioned with the Center, I can see them fleeing and/or defecting.

reply

I think they might just leave Henry behind.

reply

Who knows, I can really see it going any direction, which is exciting.

But I wonder why they even bothered to ask Pastor Tim his thoughts on moving the kids to Russia? That was unnecessary and ill-advised. Sure that means we're not done with that situation yet.

reply

They went to Pastor Tim because he's the only one who can give them advice from an American perspective. They can't relate, because they grew up in the USSR, but their own kids are Americanized.

reply

I agree, Tim is still a dangling thread (and unpredictable) so they should not give him more information than necessary. but they are genuinely concerned for their kids so their parent side took over from their smart spy side.

reply

I thought they were considering just leaving both of them behind or maybe waiting till they're legally adults. Like Pastor Tim pointed out to them, in a few years it won't even be their decision to make. I'm not sure if he was saying it's now or never for you to do this or he was warning them that even if they go there it doesn't guarantee they'll stay there.

I think with Henry going off to that school and being close to Chris's family and Paige gearing up for college....they might think it's best to just let them live their, already established, lives. Henry and Paige have no reverence, nostalgia, or solid ties to Russia like Philip and Elizabeth, obviously do. However much it may hurt for them to realize, it's just not their kids country or home and I find it hard to believe they'd adjust to it.

That's an interesting point you raise saying once the word is out the Centre might not let them take that back, so to speak. That would be quite the quagmire! I'm not sure, I could see this going either way...for some reason I always felt like they'd be separated somehow, so maybe one of them will stay and one will go (as in Philip or Elizabeth not Paige or Henry).
