Asperger's syndrome I am guessing or some similar form of autism?

Suffering (and yes I mean SUFFERING) from the condition myself I gravitate towards stories about such characters but none of the Hollywood portrayals feel anything like me so I do not much identify with the characters.

I still plan to see this though. I will take any form of familiarity and relatability I can get.

You mean a character in this has asperger's? My brother-in law has it. Interesting to see if it rings familiar

Never really new anyone who had it speak like you spoke.

How do you suffer from it? Usually it's rare that the person recognizes the symptoms

It's a spectrum disorder. Lots of people could have some of the issues and not even know it.

Have you seen Lars and The Real Girl? I've known a few people on the autism spectrum and Ryan Gosling's performance as Lars immediately struck me as an accurate portrayal of someone on the spectrum (though it is never explicitly stated that he is).

If you haven't seen it, don't let the synopsis throw you. The movie nothing like what you would expect it to be based on the premise.

I have Asperger's too, and I have to say, I'm a little sad that you feel that way. I feel like having Asperger's make me unique; like everyone else is average and I'm special.
Anyway, I would like it if Christian (Ben Affleck's character) has Asperger's, but from what I've heard, he has savant syndrome.
