Why does every professional killer has to save a *beep* ... always?

Agent 47, Denzel Washington, Leon the professional, and the list goes on.

I don't understand. Why do they all have to save a *beep* Why aren't they ruthless and careless enough to ignore them?

Why risk yourself for a girl you don't even know? Stupid cliche.

every professional killer

No-one pays him to kill anybody, but I'll let that pass.

Contrary movies :
Day of the Jackal
The Jackal

( also the real Carlos the Jackal )

I'll also claim half a point for
Point of No Return = The Assassin ; because Bridget Fonda had a guy.๐Ÿ˜ƒ

after killing too many people to count, the cold-blooded killers/assassins needed to save someone weak to make up for all the carnage. You could also call it karma or redemption

reply

They do not 'need' that, wtf. Or are you talking about film-making? Then maybe yes...unfortunately.

He's falling in love with her, or they are with each other. They're perfect opposites attracting, autistic introvert and spark plug extrovert. And you ought to appreciate the fact that his single minded autism (and apprehension that she will come to fear him as his father predicted with a little too much certainty) gets in the way. I mean, he could have put "Crazy Eddie and the Panama Pump" on the back burner for 30 minutes for crying out loud, but his autism comes with such a heavy dose of OCD.

Ben Affleck does not play a professional killer in this movie.

True.

Perhaps they find women attractive.

It's classic liberal Hollywood with unoriginal movie plots.

Liberals think everyone can be saved, or at least has good in them. Killers, assassins, etc. all have good hearts and will do the right thing to save victims - like anna kendrick in this movie.

I'm surprised Hollywood hasn't made a movie about muslim terrorists doing good charitable work within their community. Or what good fathers, husbands, or sons they are to their family... when they're not plotting to kill Americans.

Human procreation depends upon men liking women. It will always be a major plot in stories. if it every fails to be a main plot, our world population will decline.

Unless of course we all start to come out of test tubes, which is entirely possible.

A simple mind is a tidy mind.

I did sort of think the same thing especially with this film and this character, who is basically not capable of close emotional relationships. I think there were other ways to have this happen, such as them working on the books together and then these guys try to kill them both and she happens to be there with him rather than him going out of his way to save her. I too asked why he would possibly care.

reply

He obviously does care about the people closest to him, such as his father and brother and the fellow in prison who taught him about accounting for the mob. He liked things about her, such as her finding the accounting problem in the first place, her appreciation for art and her appreciation for him.

Crazy Eddie was the solution to the puzzle about the books and also pointed him to who was trying to kill them, so it was really important.
