I guess it will most likely first premiere at a film festival?

“Playing It Cool” was directed by Justin Reardon from a script by Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair. Vertical is eyeing a first quarter 2015 release.
the official distribution companies should really be smarter now about their releases... because while they are holding their smaller acquisitions like this film under wraps with no information on official release date or details, the films appear online. Playing it cool is already online, and I say it's no one's fault but the distributor's. the 80s when distributors could do whatever they want are long gone, now thanks to internet viewers want to see what they want and when they want and are getting more and more power to do that. The distributors of such smaller projects should really be prompter with official online releases, otherwise they totally deserve unofficial leaks.
