Its probably gonna sound like all the other crappy RnB thats out now. Sorry the genre fell off. Its now all pop. Some of the biggest stars from the 90s who are still making hits are doing straight pop. Mariah, Beyonce, Usher. I dont think TLC would be any different. After years out of the game, they are going to want to make money. I doubt they'll have the guts to do what SWV or Justin Timberlake done on their last albums and release a 90s sounding set.

I agree. R&B has fell off and it sucks because I love R&B and that's why I don't even bother to listen to today's music. I try to keep up with the 90's artists that are still out today like Mariah and Mary J. But other than that, the music they make now sucks!!! I love TLC but it will never be the same as it was in the 90's. I understand that they may want to come back, but the music game is just totally different. It's changed for the worse. If they think things were bad in the 90's with Pebbles ripping them off, they aint seen nothing yet!!!

What song did Timberlake make that sounds like the 90s? All his new material sound like something from 2006.

2006: The last good year for R&B.

Dont Hold The Wall
Suit and Tie
Strawberry Bubblegum

Mimic the age of Hip Hop/Soul, roughly the sound you heard from 1992 to 2005/2006. Timbaland done some good stuff here and had gone back to his old school style with 20/20.

Hey! Maybe he should produce TLCs next album.

I wouldn't say Justin Timberlake music sound like 90s music just early 00s. I see what you trying to say he is keeping the same by not going all over just to keep up with the times. I agree about SWV I have their last album they came out with last year or the year before last and I love it that album sound like a 90s album.

I also keep up with 90s artists that is still going strong except maybe Usher after Raymond vs. Raymond I lost interest in Usher music its like he went backwards trying to impress these young kids. Beyonce she is alright she is almost the same as Usher I do miss whens he used to have some gospel interludes on her albums or I would like her to go back to how she did with her first solo LP. I like some new artists that came out around the early 00s and that is real like Jill Scott, john legend, Keyshia Cole, Melanie Fiona, Vivian Green, Jennifer Hudson, Ruben Studdard, and etc.

If TLC come out with a new album I'm sure they can be a success they just have to have the right production company today music industry is so screwed up its not funny. Now its about what hot artist you have on your album or producer back in the 90s you could get away with unknown rappers and producers on your album.

I agree. But when I think 90s artists I am thinking every artist pre-2004, coz the style remained consistent up until then IMO.

I saw an interview on youtube with Timbaland earlier this year and he was dissing the new wave of mainstream RnB and Hip Hop, saying its lost all creativity, but he said its only a phase. He thinks that RnB will make a return back to pre-2004 style. I think he was trying to jump start that change with JT's album.

TLC always had a pop rock feel to their music, along with the Hip Hop and Soul tracks. I am just afraid that since Hip Hop/Soul is no longer popular they are going to be doing straight pop. Plus no Left Eye. Ugh. Not looking forward to this.

My sentiments exactly! If TLC make a comeback only to do straight Pop, I'm afraid they are just wasting their time. Plus Left Eye isn't there so it will never be the same. It's just like T-Boz said, TLC died(as we knew it) when Lisa died.
