TLC....Still the best girl group of all time.

TLC will always be the best girl group in my opinion. Just think about how huge they were..without the benifit of Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube...maybe I'm just biased because I am their age, and remember a time when MTV was actually MUSIC TELEVISION. and radio played more than the same ten freakin songs...DAMN...I'm old...LOL

Damn right! TLC were huge back in the day. I'm glad the new generation gets to know their music.

OP if you old I'm not too far from you. I remember all of what you said especially when MTV and BET played music videos mostly all day. Remember Video Soul? Anyways, TLC is just one of those groups that can't be duplicated.

This is definitly the only group that i can think of where ALL of the members had their time to shine equally.

That must make me a fossil.

I dunno. I think En Vogue were pretty cool and Brownstone were better. But TLC have highly defined personalities, which the others lacked.

EDIT: Also the Spice Girls and the UK version of TLC, All Saints who are still around I think were good. Spice Girls are probably the most famous Girl Group of all time, and En Vogue and Brownstone were probably better vocally.

shhh... no one mention Destiny's Child.

They were a great "girl group" but if you are going to say all time, you would have to say The Supremes. Like you said, with no FB, Twitter, Youtube or MTV, and no music videos at all. They were big in a time of segregation, and they had an even bigger crossover appeal. They had 12 number one singles (they did release more albums) whereas TLC obviously couldn't. I would ssay that The Supremes' music is more timeless than TLC. Before the movie, how often did any of us really think about TLC in the last few years?

If I should fall asleep and death takes me away don't be surprised son, I wasn't put here to stay.
