Behind the Music.
This wasnt an altogether bad film but, lets face it most biopics about music artists are all generally the same and follow the exact same story structure.
On Behind the Music, at least you get the story as told by the artist or at least people close to the person if the subject happens to be dead by then.

Agreed. A nice behind music the would have been way better. The movie was poorly made IMO though

shareThat is one of the reasons I love VH1 because of "behind the music" you learn so much about your favorite artists and even some about the ones you don't like and then you can grow to kind of like them now that you know their background....lol.
I know they like to profile a lot rappers on Behind the Music, good Lord! Are they the only ones volunteering for the show? Back in the day it was mostly classic rock bands and pop singers from back in the day.
I think they're focusing on rap artists alot lately because lets face it, rap is dead and alot of those performer's stories are more compelling than former rock stars who are currently living the twilight of their lives with old blond Playboy centerfolds.

True, I like when they did LL Cool J Behind The Music he has a story to tell he had a bad childhood. Ludacris...I missed his story or was that Lil Wayne (I didn't care to see his story). Christina Aguileria Behind The Music was a good one I cried at her story. I like when they did one on Usher and Missy Elliot. I think Aaliyah had one too.
I wish VH1 would have a marathon of Behind The Music instead of playing these reality shows just start from the beginning or wherever they can and just play an all day marathon.
If they started at the very beginning I believe the first episode they did was either on Milli Vanilli or MC Hammer. Right after Rob from Milli Vanilli committed suicide. They need to do some updates on some of the artists/bands they profiled but Behind the Music had a very good run.
I think I remember Milli Vanilli Behind The Music. I'm not sure if I watched MC Hammer Behind The Music.
