She really looked, sounded, and moved like Left Eye. She really did her homework in studying Lisa.
The other two were okay, but they really struggled with the video portions. Esp the actress who played T Boz. She just didn't have 'it' when it came to performing.
But a great movie IMO.

Yeah, Lil Mama acted circles around Keke Palmer (Chille). A lot of people in the music industry don't like Lil Mama for I guess how she highjacked Jay Z's performance..but I think she definately redeemed herself with this role.

shareI never doubted Lil Mamma I always thought she looked like Left Eye I was just hoping she would pull off playing Lisa. Rap wise I don't think she can rap that song she had lipstick or whatever it was called....no. Anyways, If Lil Mamma didn't play her I would liked for Natina Reed of Blaque to play her but she passed last year. Lil Mamma really did an amazing job she really looked like Left Eye and had me thinking I was seeing Lisa in her.

Drew Sidora pulled off the T-Boz looked and the voice. She did just fine.
It was like each of these ladies did their work and studies the ladies of TLC and took what they learned and showed us who was boss.
I thought all the ladies did a great job, but Lil' Mama was especially spectacular. She completely embodied Left Eye. She had her voice down, certain mannerisms and expressions, everything. She really did a great job.

shareAgreed! I was/am a HUGE fan of Lisa's and I am not a fan of Lil Mama, but the entire film had me doing double-takes and reminding myself "that is not actually Lisa." She had her mannerisms, voice, etc. The other two were really not that good, though. I was disappointed in them.
shareDon't really care for Little Mamma, but she could have won an Oscar for this, and I would not protest.
shareAnd you know what else? The fact that she didn't have the advantage of Left Eye being on set to "coach" her made her performance all the more amazing.
