why didn't they show when left eye discovered her group Blaque?

i know they couldn't show everything, but I think they should've shown where she discovered Blaque back in the late '90s. oh yeah and I don't remember hearing "hat 2 da back" in the movie? did they play or perform the song during the movie? R.I.P Lisa lefteye Lopes and Natina Reid (from Blaque).

reply

Hat 2 Da Back was in the movie; Ain't too Proud to Beg wasn't. They couldn't fit everything in the movie. Although Lisa did tell the group the only way she would do the FanMail tour was if Blaque was the opening act.

Oh, she said that in the movie? I missed that part and I missed "hat 2 da back", but I thought I heard "Ain't to proud to beg". I need to re watch it cuz I watched it last mon night when I got off work, I recorded on DVR and was sleepy and online doing other things. I didn't give it my full attention. I'm gonna watch it again on Tues or Wed on my dau off.

ATPTB was in the film. It was shown as their first live performance.

because blaque is irrelevant. nobody cares about them and their success was moderate. now if they were on that destiny's child level of fame then they would probably had showed it.

I liked Blaque everyone just wanted to compare them to TLC when it was plain to see they were very different from TLC. They did have some great success they did some acting and almost relased a 2nd album I don't think it hit stores at all.

I really liked Blaque as well. But this was a movie about TLC Tionne and Chili said in an interview with Wendy Williams (UGH) that if they hadn't left things out this would've been a 4 hour movie lol. Plus maybe they were trying to respect the family of Natinia (sp) Reed since she has also passed

reply

I liked Blaque but I always thought of them as a rip off version of TLC because they pretty much were TLC with a twist(TLC had a hip hop/blues, rap, r&b flavor and blaque had r&b and rap flavor).

reply

I think the other girls also thought of Blaque as a rip off version of TLC and a reason Lisa's ego got so big... because she created a successful group on her own. I don't even recall them publicly giving condolences for Natina (though I could be wrong). So I think it is safe to say they would rather pretend Blaque didn't exist.
