Money from the new interest in his music?

Saw the movie at the Cinema here in Sweden. Quick question, do anyone know if the protagonist get any money now with the new interest this documentary will make for his music? In the end i saw it was licensed to Sony Music. Anyone know?

Rodriguez definitely receives royalties from the sale of the "Searching For Sugar Man Soundtrack" CD. Sony Music has even put a notice of this on the back of the CD cover - you may be able to see that here:
