This cant happen again


One thing for me that makes the story even more interesting, is that it can't happen again. In the internet age there is no people so oppressed that they can go 20 years not knowing if someone they idolize is even alive or dead.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched the movie. It seems as if the 60's and 70's were ripe with outlandish rumors about rock stars that people believed, like John Lennon putting a secret message in a song to tell the fans that Paul McCartney was dead. In the Internet age, I think it would be a bit harder for these types of rumors to gain traction. Sure, from time to time rumors spread on the Internet that a celebrity is dead, but it usually only takes a few hours for their publicist to put the word out that the rumors are false.

Chain Mail is Mancunian and has gotten quite a following on youtube. all attemts to contact them has been quite in vain, altrough rumors say these guys know they got a following but dont really care.
