I would love to buy his stuff...BUT

I really want to buy his stuff from iTunes but I'm worried the money is not getting to him yet as he is still embroiled in a legal battle so I unfortunately have to postpone buying his stuff until the legal issues are settle. I can't, with good conscience, buy his stuff without knowing if he's getting his share.
Anyone else feel like this? Or does anyone know for sure if he's getting his share of the cash?

No, they don't. I would say the majority of people download anything and everything for free and pay no one. They download so much they don't listen or read most of it.

And they see nothing wrong in that. They have been taught by totally corrupt government and business. Payback is a bitch. Wait 15 years until they are living in cardboard boxes with their useless digital toys.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

That´s a shame because out of all the artists, an artist like him deserves to get paid for what he put out.
I would love to buy his music but won´t until I know for sure that he is benefitting. Genuine guy.

Why not go to one of his concerts and see him live.

I think he is still performing.

I was in a music store a couple of weeks ago and saw a reissue of Cold Fact on vinyl. On the back of the album it stated that all proceeds from the album were going to Sixto Rodriguez which was nice to see.

The safest bet would be buying them from Sixto's own website: http://www.rodriguez-music.com/

It looks like Light In The Attic has also bought rights to his work and worked to make sure that Sixto was the one who benefits. Here is one link about the Light In The Attic licensing:

Last, I bought the soundtrack from the film as I was pretty sure the movie trying to honor him would not have any shady royalty issue.

He's doing okay financially from his performances and his current record sales. He's really only concerned with getting out his music, enjoying his life now, and maybe leaving something behind for his daughters and grandchildren.
