True its more of an answer of avoidance than survival. However females still benefit from males using a condom in the same manner.
It is true that infants heraldity and blood transfusion will still be able to carry it, however statistically majority of cases appear due to unprotected sex, so i think removing over half of the causes is a good step forwards. especially when its as easy as wearing a condom.
