Too family friendly?

Let me first start by saying I liked Afterlife. However it was too family friendly and lacking the horror elements of the original. The trailer of Frozen Empire looks great but still is lacking the horror elements of the original. The first 2 films were clearly targeted for adults. Afterlife and Frozen Empire are targeted for families. Do you guys think Frozen Empire will have the horror elements of the original?

If we're being honest, even the second one was a tad softer than the first movie. Bill Murray is less of a womanizer, the gang doesn't smoke, there's a baby thrown in.
