It felt like I was almost watching a Scooby Doo episode.
Chris is Fred, Vicki is Daphne, Gertie is Velma, and Duncan is Shaggy. Not sure if I would be so cruel as to call Max 'Scooby' though. I wonder if that was done on purpose or I'm just seeing these characters the way I want to see them.
