I liked this when it was Behind the Mask

Sounds more like Camp Daze which is about a group of modern teens that find themselves stuck in an 80s slasher flick that's on a time loop.

I think this movie is more like Last Action Hero. Just the idea of people entering fake movie world.

I went to see this because I love Leslie Vernon. It's not a rip off it's just another self aware horror like Cabin in the Wood, Tucker and Dale etc.

Yeah, this movie is really nothing like Behind the Mask, save for that the killer wears a mask. Which you can say of just about any slasher flick ever except for Nightmare on Elm Street.

Funny you say that, because the entire time I was watching this, I kept thinking, this is like Last Action Hero meets Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon! Not nearly the same plot as Behind the Mask, but had a very similar feel.
