Who else thinks that "Camp Bloodbath"...

Who else thinks that "Camp Bloodbath" would have been a better movie than "Friday the 13th"?

In "The Final Girls", we only see that meta perspective with the people from the real world entering the movie world.

But I'm talking about the actual "Camp Bloodbath" movie that exists inside the "The Final Girls" universe (the one they were about to watch in the cinma before the fire broke out).

It has:
- less generic characters
- a more consistent backstory (What exactly happened with Jason between apparently drowning before part 1 and reappearing in part 2?)
- and probably a better and more definite ending. (All of the endings of the first three "Friday the 13th" movies are confusing.)

Also, the sequel is more consistent with the first part since Billy still looks the same. Jason changes appearance in every movie, even if two movies follow each other immediately, like part 2 and 3 that are set during the same weekend.

And part 2 of "Camp Bloodbath" seems to be something new, starting in a hospital, and not just a rehash of the first movie.

The only illogical thing is Billy getting beheaded in part 1 and being perfectly fine in part 2. But maybe that was just due to the people from the real world. Maybe in the actual movie he was just stabbed or something.

That's because the writers of the movie were inspired by The Burning (according to the Triva section). The Burning is a better summer-camp-becomes-blood-bath than Friday the 13th.
Again, stronger characters with good relationships between campers and councillers, a much stronger back story, better deaths, more action and a much more satisfying ending etc. Not to mention, it never got ruined with countless sequels, remakes and spin-offs.
