Yes I "get" what this film was going for but it honestly did a terrible job of it.

Other than the flashbacks saying summer of '57 and the kids driving what was a 60 or so Chevy, I enjoyed it a lot.

Well. Subjective itinit? I thought there were hilarious moments...without which I wouldn't have enjoyed it...so bam

The movie wasn't supposed to be a comedy, so it did its job. Let me know when your unfunny movie gets released.

Yeah it could have been much better, started off ok, but the second half was just as bad as the movies it was making fun of.
