did anyone else find Pete's character unrealistic?
don't get me wrong, i adored Pete!! he was an utter sweetie - gentle and kind-hearted and loyal and optimistic, and so polite even whilst sick and starving - but who would he have learned his impeccable manners from? his mother didn't seem the type to teach her son much of anything, let alone to say please and thank you and to chew with his mouth closed. he is surrounded by other children being raised by adults just like his mother, and his teachers would be too busy trying to educate those children that it's unlikely Pete learned his manners at school. he was a wonderful little boy and it would be a fortunate set of foster parents who took him in, but i just found his character, in that setting, a little far-fetched.
have you tried that crazy wrap thing?! http://erinleighmckenzie.myitworks.com
