Song and/or soundtrack

I saw this at Sundance last week and it was a love/hate type of thing for most people but what goes without saying is how fantastic the music was.

Does anyone know the song at the very beginning of the film, they're dancing around being idiots in slow-motion while the credits roll.

That song is 'Baby' by Donnie & Joe Emerson, it's from 1979, and it's absolutely wonderful. The soundtrack listing is not available anywhere that I'm aware of yet, but I'm sure it will be once this festival circuit is over and the film is commercially available. A lot of the soundtrack is Jagjaguwar bands.

I love the new trailer. I think I will love this, but understand many others will hate it. I love the music playing at the end.

Anywhere I can find that music? For some reason it struck a real chord with me

reply

William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops

reply

It struck a chord with me too, that's why I'm on this board. I wonder why that is.

reply

to be specific, its the first track on the first disintegeration loops album (there are four). the track is 60 minutes long; words cannot describe it; esp, if you're isolated and hear it on a serious audio setup.

also, the track @ the beginning of the trailer and in some scenes in the movie (with the sax): Gayngs - The Gaudy Side of Town

i can post the other songs used in the movie if desired.

reply

Could you please post the other songs? I loved the soundtrack.
