Question about the Tim and Eric show.......

So the type of humor that the Tim and Eric show uses is very whacky, zany and ironic. This would be the kind of show the characters in this film would have loved. However it's clear that Tim Heidecker has a sort of disdain for those kind of people, Hipsters. So I see two possible scenarios here. Scenario 1: The Tim and Eric show is very sly satire that mocks hipster culture by being such a random and retarded show. If you find it funny something must be wrong with you. Scenario 2: Tim Heidecker is a massive Hipster and the Tim and Eric show was a love letter to them. Now that he is rich and famous he made this movie as a way to detach from them and wants nothing to do with them. Any thoughts on this?

Wow you're being WAY too black-and-white about this, as if the only two groups of people in the world are hipsters and non-hipsters.... i'm pretty sure they just made a show that they thought would be funny and that other people would find funny regardless of what "kind of people" they are

If I had to give this movie a moral or lesson it would be that you can take irony too far.

I think they enjoyed doing "Tim & Eric" but I can see how that much irony would start to get on your nerves after 5 or 6 seasons of it.
