This is one Awesome Show, Great Job! skit portrayed in reality.
And it's done so well!
I heard about this movie as soon as I heard about the negativity towards it.
My coworker told me I should watch it, and I did. And I found it bizarre, slow, and depressing. Just because you feel contempt towards the dicks in the movie. Because they're unlikable people. Well...On the show they're not likable either, in fact they're rather enjoyable, because of their enthusiasm that is mixed with bright colors and funny music. Take that whimsey away from them and plop them into modern day society, now they are babbling douche bags void of decency and real emotion.
The scene that nailed it was the seizure. While it was unheard in the movie, I'm sure the girl, being somewhat responsible, mention to the lead that she occasionally has seizures, nothing too serious for some, so when she had one when they're ready to bump uglies, he was just instantly disinterested because it was too much effort to wait it out. This is easily a Tim and Eric skit, but it lacks the goofiness, and totally wrong infomercial about how to help seizing people.
