This was had a high budget that was all spent on sfx and 10 dollars spent on the script.
There are so many loop holes and inconsistencies here that it would make any five year old baby feel like a genius as s/he picks out all of the plot holes.
Maybe it was designed with that in mind? Why can't netflix hire a decent write for once??

This movie was far from perfect (he builds a dozen plasma guns overnight with random equipment, lol), but they did a fair amount of explaining the science in this movie and seemed to care to not go full action movie ridiculous.
You make it sound like there were a dozen plotholes. I'm curious to hear a few of them.
