Turned It Off After An Hour

It's not hard to see why Universal scrapped this film from a theatrical release and had Netflix pick it up for release. It's a good looking movie, but it's incredibly boring and dull for a Sci-Fi Action movie. Terrible acting and characters, lame story, and the action scenes were nothing impressive. Gave up after an hour because it clearly wasn't going to get any better.

You didn't miss something. Awful movie.

Yeah, I'm at 1:16 and I'm surfing the web now

All 3 of you missed out then. The last half had insane special effects.

It was a decent watch, and the props and special effects were pretty good. The script wasn't anything special, but it wasn't horrible. A lot of stuff that actually makes it to theaters nowadays is worse than this movie, especially in the big budget blockbuster realm.

Agreed. Very good for budget. The movies end was the climax of all the content leading into it. The first 3/4 of the movie only feeds tech minded peeps who would be more likely to not find the beginning and middle boring as stated. I love tech stuff and thought the movie was awesome. Plus the lead engineer guy did a good job in "13 hours at Benghazi" as Rone and acted well here too. Seen it 4 times. Maybe give it another shot. But we all have different tastes.

It was a pretty good movie.

It was pretty good indeed, and it didnt bore at all, I liked it a lot.

reply

Well you were wrong, it did get better. I'm always surprised how many people want Oscar worthy scripts and special effects on every film they watch. If the 70m budget I've heard is correct, they did a very good job on this film.
