Worst ADR I've ever seen in my life.

Wow. Just total script/line changes well after filming, and they tried to edit it to fit the new lines but it was just totally distracting. Stuck out to me every time. Just keep the old lines for God's sake if your other option looks like THAT.

Worst part is when he goes "I know what they are" and starts explaining it to the soldiers... I was like "WTF?!" and I thought the audio went out of sync or something. Then I realized that his mouth was saying completely different things. Happens a number of other times in the movie, including the final line in the movie from the general to the doc.

Worst ADR I've ever seen and it completely ripped me out of an otherwise "okay" movie.

OK, so I had to learn a new acronym just to find out what the hell that godawful lip-sync problem was. And yes, it was distracting AF. :)

ADR is when they take the actors into a recording studio and re-record their lines, because a lot of the time the production audio (the audio from filming) was bad in some way. Sometimes they alter the lines in ADR but they work the edit around it - in this case, the changes were so significant in places that it was a total crapshoot.

Half way through this film I paused it, then came back to it an hour later. I swear to god I thought my system had got the picture and sound out of sync. Rebooted my PS4 to try and fix it. Still, some fantastic (if colour drained) visuals in this flick.

Similar experience! In the first huge bad moment (when he explains what the spectrals are) I was like "WTF?" and thought something was wrong with my Netflix app. Stopped, reloaded, reloaded the app. Until I REALLY looked and I was like, "Holy God, it's the actor saying totally different lines!"

Sorry man, seems you've got bad eyes and can't tell when lip movements "kind-of-sort-of-match" because of the edit but are pretty blatantly saying different things.

Has nothing to do with streaming, bub. I watched the movie off a rip (meaning NO streaming, direct from HDD). There are blatant scenes where the audio-dub was way off from what the actors were saying. This movie is such a joke it's not really worth arguing about though.

There's a noticeable difference between being out of sync and the mouth saying different words. I'm sorry friend, you've got bad perception here.

So that's what was happening! Some parts of the movie I thought my mind was playing tricks on me.

I didn't notice, but I think that's because I was watching the movie the way it was safe to watch it .. as background lol
