wow wow wow i liked this

netflix pumps out versions of earlier films but if they are so good then its nice

reply

Way better than i expected

Yes, I agree. It wasn't perfect, but it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!

reply

"If i reverse the polarity on a camera, i can turn it into a projector". Wow! Is right. I turned it off right there.

reply

While I do agree with you that that is a very stupid line, it hardly ruins the movie.

Can I make one little tiny comment. My son is four and loves this video he found by accident:

http://video.mit.edu/watch/visualizing-video-at-the-speed-of-light-one-trillion-frames-per-second-9742/

So there are lots of imaging techniques that use back scatter etc. millimetre wave scanning is one, like at the airport:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millimeter_wave_scanner

is it such a stretch that a DARPA guy might have a back scatter imaging device to help night vision (or penetrate walls)? Hence the camera and the spot light is not so stupid...

PS big shout out to my former colleagues in the scottish positron emission tomography group, I know nothing about these things but sitting in a couple of seminars made me in awe:

I guess the only stupid thing is that to power the search light you would probably need a 500KG fuel cell, but it is a movie...right??

reply

I think the writers may have been trolling with a little in-joke there.

You can try reverse the polarity on Your flashlight ,most likely it will turn that into a camera.

reply

Awesome! It worked!

reply

It is stupid, but it has a fading hint of fundamental truth in it: The Principle of Reversibility of Electromechanical Systems. In short, this is the principle that makes every electric motor a generator at the same time. Obviously, it won't turn a camera into a projector... But if it encourages some kid to dig deeper into the general idea of physical reversibility - it is worth mentioning in a movie.

Just watched free on 123movies.is
Really liked it too.
I would've paid to see it though.

Just watched it on Netflix and I liked it a lot, I felt like I was watching Call of Duty advanced warfare or something lol

Come on, you apes! you wanna live forever?

reply

I loved it and gave an extra star when I realized I hadn't been pulled out of the movie by millions of f-bombs ... that's big stuff for me!!!
