So many of the directors who worked on this have went onto big things.
I find this film fascinating due to it's future historical importance. Not that it in-and-of-itself is special (like most anthologies it's a mixed bag) but the directors who worked on it have went onto big things, this is a look at them early on in their careers. To have so many solid Horror directors contribute is cool.
David Bruckner - The Ritual (2017), The Night House (2020) and the upcoming Hellraiser reboot. Fantastic Horor director. A real darkhorse. Superior to Aster, Eggers, Peele and co' with regards to the Horror genre. Not as much an 'auteur' as those guys, he doesn't have a unique vision or vibe but he's brilliant. His Amateur Night segment is the best from this film.
Ti West - The House of the Devil (2009), The Innkeepers (2011), The Sacrament (2013), X (2022) and it's upcoming prequel Pearl. He shown great promise early on with The House of the Devil and with X he is hopefully back on track. A 9 year absense from Horror films was a real shame. Hopefully he's more active going forward.
Adam Wingard - You're Next (2011), The Guest (2014), Blair Witch (2016), Godzilla vs Kong (2021). Getting to direct the Godzilla vs Kong film is big time as fuck. Proper blockbuster stuff.
Bettinelli-Olpin & Gillett - Ready or Not (2019), Scream (2022) and the upcoming Scream 6. Solid genre efforts. Ready or Not was pretty good, I didn't care for Scream but good for them for getting to take on a new trilogy in a beloved franchise.
Glenn McQuaid and Joe Swanberg are the only segment directors who haven't made it.
It'll be interesting to see how their careers go in the future.
