Second Honeymoon
What is going on in this segment? Why did the other girl break into the motel room the first time just to mess with his toothbrush and take $100? What's the point? Why wait until the second night to kill him?

shareI'm not sure. That short didn't make much sense to me.
shareI also wonder why the killer pulled a knife on her girlfriend while she was sleeping in bed. The action doesn't make any sense. I think it's inclusion was just to throw off viewers as to who the killer was.
shareI think the boyfriend and girlfriend had something in common -- they were both in love with the killer. And the killer was secretly involved with both the girlfriend and the boyfriend. And the boyfriend wanted the girlfriend gone in the same way the girlfriend wanted the boyfriend gone. And the killer, being bisexual, liked them both but couldn't have both and had to pick one or the other. When we see her recording the two of them sleeping, what she's doing is trying to decide which one she wanted to be with, and when we see her pull the knife on the girl it's because she's THIS CLOSE in getting rid of her and running away with the guy. Ultimately she decided she liked the girl more.
shareIt's possible, but honestly if this was the intended plot it was short terribly, as there's no coherent nature to it. If she liked both so much that she couldn't decide which to kill, then what's the big deal? It only really works if there's a long-term love affair behind the scenes. If the killer likes both equally then why the need to kill one at all?
Also the guy blamed the girlfriend over the missing money, if he was involved with the killer too, then he would've suspected the killer and not brought it up.
But why would the killer go to the door asking for the ride? Who in their right mind would say yes to a strange asking for a ride the next day, when they randomly turn up at the door at 1am.
The whole think is just written to be a series of twists, there's no coherent plot at all.
Such as waste.
Koalas are telepathic. Plus, they control the weather.
Pretty sure the two women planned the whole thing from the beginning. They show the lock being engaged on the door so someone let the killer in later. I think the woman let the killer in and she playfully touched her with the knife and when the woman rolls over and pulls the covers back up she is awake and knows the killer is in there because she let her in. They probably are into the whole pain and danger thing. Probably wouldn't be the first time she cut her panties off of her. At least one of them is sadistic obviously.
shareI rewrote it in my head.
I thought the ending would have been GREAT if it turned out the couple wasn't married "to each other" and it was one of their real spouses stalking them,
That would have been an excellent twist. The lesbian thing though, was just stupid.

The segment was made just to throw twist and turns at us to throw us off and creep us out. It seemed out of place too since it was the only story that didn't have anything supernatural happen in it.
shareConsidering that was Ti West's segment, it was incredibly disappointing.

Some of the posts about the first segment (the succubus) got me thinking that maybe the killers in this segment are also some sort of supernatural creatures, like sirens or harpies. That might make more sense (did I really just say that?) than the explanation that the women are so psychotic they'd make a long play out of dating and marrying a guy just to kill him.
