In every version of the film I've seen, there are no subtitles in the opening few mins. Therefore I'm confused as to whether we are meant to understand what the apes are saying or not.
I have tried turning the subtitles on and off, but nothing appears. I get it if you are meant use your imagination but it just seems frustrating.
Any thoughts welcome
I have the Blu Ray of this movie, and the first ape subtitle is at 4:00 into the movie - "Caesar... They are close."
I think your pirated copies left out the subtitles.
Every version I've seen has subtitles for when the apes are using their version of ASL to communicate.
I am studying sign language and I am first year German sign language. I recognize a few signs though! ASL and GSL are similar with some differences! Sign langu stud not uniform therefore it varies even in the USA, unfortunately
