Colonising other worlds with Wayland yutani where the planet has a parasite type alien creature that lays an alien embrio in side you which after a few hours comes bursting out of youer chest, which then grow into nasty killing monsters that bleed acid for blood , then its the begining of the end for humans.

Every country will have risen and fallen many times, cycling from first world to third world. cycling thru dictatorships to 'free' societies. Probably at times, USA, Canada, and Mexico will merge and unmerge. Space travel may be forgotten. Fossil energy usage will have been eliminated. Plenty of wars... we will not be a unified planet like in Star Trek. There will still be War on Poverty, War on Drugs, War on Crime, etc...
