Loved it.

It really is so sad how vile people can be. I really enjoyed the film I knew I would because I adore Melissa Mcarthy and the cast as a whole were fantastic. I read somewhere she reads these boards which is a shame as their are some horrendously vile comments on here.

All of these nuts who keep obsessing over her weight must never leave thier homes. More than two thirds of Americans are overweight, so why can't an actor or actress be overweight? It's a good movie and Melissa did a great job.

I agree. I really enjoyed the movie and I love just about anything that Kathy Bates does. While some of Melissa McCarthy's other movies are a lot funnier, this was meant to be more of a feel-good comedy movie, which I thought it nailed. Also, everybody needs to understand that Tammy was supposed to look horrible, like she's hit rock bottom, rather than judge Melissa McCarthy on how she looks. She's a beautiful woman playing a part.

I loved it too. I thought the few dramatic moments showed what depth McCarthy has as an actress and I won't be surprised if over time she branches out into more serious roles and might even win an Oscar some day. There was one scene she has with Susan Sarandon at a table in a dinner where McCarthy is pouring out her heart...and then manages to crack a joke at the same time. So rare to see real drama and something very funny happening both at the same time. McCarthy is a treasure.
